One of the things I'm amazed about SDN 47 is its everyday morning programs. The school have a different program everyday and because of this I feel and see that the students are enjoying themselves. I am proud to say that I have been an active participant of these programs. You'll see it when you scroll down.

M - FLAG CEREMONY

I went to school at 6:45 am. Every Monday they have their flag ceremony and the headmaster himself do a roll call in every class grade at the school. I also observe that before the students went inside the school the teachers are standing at the gate waiting for the students to enter and the students have to kiss the teachers hand before going in. They are very disciplined and I am amazed that young pupils  lead the flag ceremony. I introduce myself after the ceremony and the pupils  seems very fond of me.

T - SENAM/GYMNASTICS DAY

Every Tuesday the students have their exercise dance also called as senam day or gymnastics day. The first leader are from class V-4 boys, second is five girls from  grade 5 and I didn't expect that the next leader would be me. Luckily I have a song in my flash drive that I use as my energizer whenever I teach in the Philippines. I do not quite remember the lyrics and the step of the song but as soon as I heard it, I think my body remember because I used to dance it a lot and mainly because the steps are obviously basic hehe. At 7:45 the program is finish. I even dance to the penguin song which I find the steps cute.

One of the tradition is pouring water on the scouts head. I witness the students strong discipline during this day.  TH - ENGLISH/NATIONAL SONG DAY

I arrived at the school at 6:50 am today the 17th. The students have their English Day and I was asked, to ask the students in English, about their hobby to exercise their English skill for the fourth and third grade. The parts of the body for the first and second grade. Comparison for the fifth and six grade.I really enjoy talking to the students because they show enthusiasm while answering my questions.

On the 24th day of January, I arrived school at 6:45 am. It is National Song Day the teachers' teach the students how to sing their national songs. I also teach the students to sing a Filipino song titled " Tong tong tong Pakitong-kitong".

At 8:20 am we go to batik house near the school using the school's bus with Mrs. Dewi and the whole class, then listen to the history of batik and try to do it. I help the students to do their design pattern . I made batik with the students, at first it's kind of hard to trace the drawings. The procedure of doing batik is  time consuming but very entertaining as I heard my students laugh and see them smiling while talking. Doing batik is very fascinating for me, especially when I saw the finish product.

F - YASINAN/RELIGION DAY

On Fridays the school has their Yasinan or Religion Day where the students need to sit and pray to the God together with the teachers. They have their individual Quran to read the prayers. I sit with them and join them in praying. I respect the Muslim's culture and how they give a great importance to their religion especially their way of praying.
